About Me

Joseph Chinenyeze Ibekwe is the Lead Pastor at Graced Family Chapel, Abuja (aka Chapel of Grace Transformation Ministry) – a multi-dimensional dynamic Church family focused at transforming individuals and ministries for kingdom impact ( He is a graduate of Kenneth E. Hagin’s Rhema Bible Training Centre, Nigeria where he specialized in Spiritual and Societal Leadership.

He has over 25 years professional experience as a leadership & entrepreneurship Trainer, Political Communications Consultant; a Gender Specialist; a Journalist, a Publishing Author and a Minister of the Gospel.

He is the Founding President/CEO, FLED International Leadership Institute, a graduate leadership school, which he established in 1999 to train and mentor leaders and technocrats in Nigeria and Africa (  He is also the founder/CEO, Foundation for Leadership & Education Development; a knowledge-based NGO founded in 1995 to promote good governance, facilitate access to basic education and promote entrepreneurial and livelihood opportunities for women and youths (

He was formerly a journalist with the Daily Times Newspaper, Lagos in the early 1990s where he reported extensively on issues of the environment, health, agriculture and Science. Joseph has conducted leadership training programs for youths and mid-career professionals around Nigeria.  He is a trained UNESCO Development Expert Leader.

He is a 1996 Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar, Austria and a 2010 CSO Fellow of the World Bank/IMF. Joseph had served as Member, National Working Group (NWG) of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on the appointment of the Federal Government of Nigeria. He has authored several books which are available on ( include The Quest for Political Leadership & Citizens Democracy; Politics is a Kingdom Business; How to Do More by Being More;  How to Enjoy the Good life, Effective Writing for Career Excellence; and Promoting Sustainable Human Development through Mentoring.

Joseph is married to Maryann Onyinyechi Ibekwe, JP, a Civil Servant and a Fellow of ANAN. They have a daughter, and the three of them play Golf. Joseph lives with his family in Abuja, Nigeria.
